Who is the Siglar Carbon Estimator developed for?

The Siglar Carbon Estimator helps charterers, commodity traders and brokers make better-informed decisions on carbon emissions. Users can assess and compare the predicted CO2 footprint of ships and actively reduce their footprint by choosing the greenest option.

How are the estimated CO2 emissions of the ships calculated?

Siglar estimates emissions for both ballast and laden leg, as well as emissions in port. We use the EEOI definition to determine the alignment with IMO trajectory. We apply standard voyage calculation assumptions such as speed (90% of design speed), time spent in port (4 days) and extra days (1 day). These assumptions will affect the emission estimates.

I am a shipowner and would like to assess the estimates on my ships.

Siglar aims to provide accurate and reliable emissions estimates. However, we cannot guarantee that the estimates will be the identical to the reported numbers.  We encourage you to engage with our support team if you have any questions.
