Øyvind Schanke and Peder Engeset join the Siglar Board of Directors to support the company in a growing phase. Schanke will take on the role as chairman of the board.
Schanke has extensive experience from the financial industry and he currently holds the position as chief investment officer at TD Veen. Before joining TD Veen, he was the CEO of Skagen Funds and chief investment officer for Asset Strategies at Norway's Government Pension Fund Global.
Schanke has held several board positions, including Oslo Stock Exchange, First Funds and Centevo, and he will now take the position as chairman of the board at Siglar.
We asked Schanke why he has chosen to work with Siglar.
“Siglar’s work to reduce emissions from global shipping is exciting and important. They address an industry in strong need of innovate solutions in order to meet the global emissions reduction targets,“ Schanke says.
Engeset has broad experience and a strong network within shipping, and he has been an active investor within shipping, offshore and energy markets.
The Siglar CEO, Sigmund Kyvik, is excited to welcome two experienced professionals on the board.
